This slide shows the software development life cycle as a W made of two overlapping curves, an orange development path and a purple review and testing path, rather than a single V or a linear list. Eighteen round nodes carry the stage labels. The orange curve covers requirements, specification, architecture, detailed design, code, software and system builds, and installation. The purple curve covers the matching reviews, test design, code walkthrough, and unit, integration, system and acceptance testing. Use it to teach the W-model, plan verification and validation alongside development, or explain test phases to a project team. The stage labels, title and curve colors can be edited.
