This slide lays out the software development life cycle as a W rather than a single V, with two linked cycles: a virtual model cycle and a digital twin cycle. Thirteen colour-coded blocks run from customer requirement and design concepts, through virtual modelling and virtual prototypes, to manufacture, testing and commissioning. Dotted arrows and grey labels mark design validation, model verification and D/T verification.
