Linking to an External Website

1. Open the design where you want to add a link.Go to your Canva dashboard and select the project you want to edit. Any type of design works — presentations, documents, social media posts, or multi-page layouts.
2. Select the element you want to make clickable.Links can be attached to text boxes, images, buttons, icons, or shapes. The element must be highlighted before the link option appears.
3. Open the extended toolbar options.When the element is selected, a floating toolbar will appear. Click the three dots (…) to reveal the additional actions available for this object.
4. Choose the “Link” option from the menu.This opens a small input field where you can add an external URL.
5. Insert the full website address (e.g., https://hislide.io).After typing the URL, confirm your choice by clicking “Done.”

Linking to Another Page in Your Canva Design

1. Select the element you want to link internally.Internal links work great for multi-page documents, presentations, and PDF navigation.
2. Choose “Link” from the toolbar again.Instead of entering a URL, pick the page you want to link to from the list Canva provides.
3. Confirm by clicking “Done.” The selected element will now navigate to another page inside your design.

Finishing Steps

1. Export the file in a format that supports clickable links.Canva links work only in PDF files or published web versions. JPG, PNG, MP4, or GIF do not support link functionality.
2. Test the link to make sure everything works. Download your design as a PDF, open it on your device, and click the linked element. Ensure it redirects to the correct place before sharing the final file.
